Your comfort and relaxation are of utmost importance to us and are reflected in each of our well-appointed rooms. There are a total of 17 comfortable rooms on the premises, and 4 additional rooms in a separate house (one kilometer away) – ideal for families. All rooms are self-contained and feature a television and minibar.

It is very pleasant to dine by the pool or outdoors in the lush gardens – enjoying the beautiful weather and the magnificent views of the “Mountains of the Moon” – pure luxury!

Half an hour outside the town of Fort Portal, nestled in Burahya County, is Bwigamiro, an estate and refuge for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

As a Rutooro word for “place of peace,” Bwigamiro has stood for nearly 40 years as a cradle of peace and natural beauty. What makes Bwigamiro so wonderful are the friendly people and the gentle atmosphere of the property through the cool climate as well as the beautiful fauna and flora.

Bwigamiro stands for both: cultivated farmland and natural forests, enriched by diverse fauna such as Colobus monkeys and crowned cranes, which live in the forest and swamp areas. The estate itself operates some agricultural projects to provide Fort Motel guests with fresh organic produce.

Here you can rent enclosed huts according to your preference or – for the adventurous – pitch a tent at the campsite. In both cases, meals are well taken care of with hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks for in between can also be ordered from the chef.

Bwigamiro offers you the opportunity to experience Uganda more from the rural and natural side, but all without sacrificing comfort. This way your stay will always be a successful experience.
