Flights to Uganda

After the former state-owned company Air Uganda had to file for bankruptcy during a failed privatisation, Uganda was without its own airline for a long time. Today, Uganda Airlines (relaunched in 2019) is once again Uganda’s national airline and connects Entebbe with Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Johannesburg, Dubai, Mumbai and, since May 2025, London Gatwick, among others. Brussels Airlines, KLM, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates and Ethiopian Airlines also fly to Entebbe from Europe.

Nevertheless, Uganda is very easy to reach by plane from Europe and America. You can reach the country from all major European airports – often with connecting flights. There are currently no direct flights from Germany.

Moderate flight prices

Prices are rather moderate and start at around EUR 600 in economy class. You do not necessarily have to book far in advance, and sometimes prices are even cheaper shortly before the day of departure. Online bookings are possible on the airlines’ websites or through major booking portals such as Opodo or Expedia.
