Uganda’s History and Politics: A Steep Rise

Uganda has a long and eventful history with its ups and downs behind it. The country was already settled in prehistoric times, and because of its geographically isolated position it only belatedly connected with the world. Only the liberation by President Museveni, who still governs today, brought stability and connection to the community of nations.

Even today Uganda is one of the poorest countries in the world. Yet compared with most other African states, it is on a steep and stable path upwards!
