Uganda: Still an Untouched African Country

House of red clay near Jinja, Uganda Uganda is still a very pristine African country. Far from the big cities, the traditional lifestyle in Africa is generally still very widespread. And in Uganda around two thirds of the people live in the countryside (about 69 %, World Bank 2024) and earn their living from agriculture.

Tourism is by far not as widespread as, for example, in the well-known neighbouring country Kenya. That is why in Uganda you can enjoy even the most exciting sights without having to join streams of crowds.

At the same time Uganda hopes for rapid growth in tourism in the coming years. And the expansion of the necessary infrastructure is already in full swing. Even now there are many hundreds of lodges, apartments and hotels in Uganda. The prices are clearly below Western levels.
