The small town of Kumi, with only 9,000 inhabitants, lies between Lake Kyoga and Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda. From here you can quickly reach the rock paintings in Nyero or the small Lake Bisina. Unexpectedly, there are also some small but quite good hotels here.
