Hoima, with around 30,000 inhabitants, is located in eastern Uganda near the East African Rift Valley on Lake Albert. Most visitors are passing through to Masindi or Fort Portal and stay overnight in one of the acceptable hotels. Nevertheless, there are some sights in the surrounding area here as well.
