Uganda Origins - detailed information
Welcome to Uganda Origins
We are a safari company which is family owned and operated. We mix American "can do" with a Ugandan laid back approach. We offer tailor made safaris to fit all budgets. Uganda Origins seeks to offer the best valued safari- saving the client money without sacrificing reliability, comfort, or service.
So whether you want to see the gorillas, go birding, or even if you are not quite sure of what to experience, we can accommodate your dreams.
What makes Uganda Origins different you might ask? Well, to name a few things:
- We are the only safari company in Uganda that has an owner/ guide with first hand knowledge of the Bwindi mountain gorilla; having spent extensive time deep in Bwindi tracking and counting wild gorillas.
- We are one of the few safari companies to offer luxury tented safari camping as an option (max. 2 people). Perfect for couples who want to get away from the mass marketed lodges; setting up camps in remote areas of parks; but without giving up comfort.
What we offer
- We offer tailor made safaris that fit the interests and personality of every client.
- We stay in constant communication via e-mail and the phone, to help our clients develop their perfect trip.
- We listen to what our clients want; we make suggestions; and combine those two factors to make an ideal safari.
- We are not the most expensive safari company in Uganda and we?re proud of it.
Scott and Jos use their years of guiding experience and knowledge of Uganda to offer clients a wonderful trip at a fair price. As our kin in Texas would say, ?it?s a fair deal?.
So whether you?re a veteran of the African plains or have never touched foot on African soil, we want to make it right for you.
So contact us, and let us put together a trip of a lifetime.

Our best Safaris
For people new to Uganda and what it has to offer, trying to decide on what to do here can be a real challenge. From his years of guiding, Scott has developed two safari’s that he would call his favorites. Keep in mind, there are many variations to these two safaris. But for people who want some ideas on what to do while on safari in Uganda these can act as a basic starting point.
The Southwest Safari: Kibale, Queen-Elizabeth-National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Mburo National Park (7 to 12 days)
This safari is our most popular safari; and for good reason. It takes you through some of the most beautiful areas of Uganda. Also, it takes you through three of the five main kingdoms of Uganda- the Buganda, Toro, and the Ankole. And from a wildlife point of view it simply can’t be matched.
